Through adversity we are reminded that everything happens for a reason.

When the recession hit in 2008, like most Americans, our family was hit with the struggles of the economy. I was a stay-at-home-mom at the time while my husband worked on Wall Street as a currency trader. Our family and my husband’s career were tied to the ups and downs of the stock market. It was not long before I noticed my husband leaving early in the morning, returning late at night, just to do it all again the next day. The six of us- me, my husband, and our four daughters- have always been close. Family dinner every night was a given and even that began to disappear.

I firmly believe that everything in life happens for a reason. We may not always understand why, but I know without our family’s experiences back in 2008, we would not have the life we enjoy here today. Leaving New York was initially difficult as my husband and I lived there our entire lives, but we were ready for a lifestyle change. We could have let that difficult time define us, but what I realized was that happiness is a choice. Life has shown me that happiness is about your family, your time together, and keeping an open to mind to what is yet to come.

During our time in New York, I had the opportunity to fully explore one of my passions, renovating homes. We would buy a house then I would go in and gut it to create a home that fit our unique needs. Once we moved to great state of Arizona, this passion lead me to my love and career as a REALTOR®.

Whenever I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and giving back to the community. You may spot me in my Yankees hat watching a college football game, on the beach with my family fulfilling my passion of travel. Most importantly, I hope to find myself as often as possible around the dinner table with my family and friends. I chose to become a REALTOR® because it gives me the opportunity of developing lifelong relationships with my clients as I help them fulfill their real estate dreams.

Whether you are buying or selling a home, you are looking for a change. I ask my clients a lot of questions because I want to understand exactly what they hope to achieve. Real estate is not about a property, it is about a lifestyle. I take the time to get to know my clients and point out details they may overlook on each property. It is important to me that my clients find the best fit for them beyond just the number of bedrooms. I know how stressful it can be to go through a lifestyle change, I did it myself. Ultimately, it led to the best life I could have imagined for my family and I. With my experience in renovations and design background, I can see what is possible within a space and help you create your perfect home. Wherever you are on your journey, I am here to help you get where you are going, and I will continue to be here long after the transaction is over. Once we start working together, I will be here as your REALTOR® for life.

Sincerely,

Sue Fitzpatrick
